Joe purchased Springstone Farm in May 2012. He started a local honey and egg business and began rescuing neglected animals. Before retiring in 2016, Joe managed international technology projects for disaster-affected and marginalized communities. He supported projects in the Central African Republic, Ghana, Haiti, Jamaica, Kenya, Liberia, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, and South Africa. In 2022, days after the Russian invasion, Joe rejoined his NGO and UN colleagues to support the Ukraine Crisis Response. and has since taken on projects in Kenya, South Africa and Morocco. |
